Here is the lastest issue of the "Dianawerk Rookie Report"

As many of you know, I scored a Beeman C1(webley carbine) last month for $50.00

Today, I pickup up a Beeman R7 177.cal in new condition. No scratches on wood or barrel.Perfect blueing. Gun looks brand new. Purchased from old retired gent who said he only shot it a few times. Price

$100.00. Oh, and it had the Santa Rosa stamp and he had a Beeman Peepsight mounted on it.

Good Shooting!

Dave, you're outpacing everyone on the vintage desireables lol. The C1 is a rifle I kinda wish I still had. Just for that stock though. They are a little loud.

What a break

March 12 2008, 1:58 PM

Harv, The B7 is the only gun that I really wanted to add to my collection. After the HW 30 acquired by MZ, I really gravitated to the light springers. I hear that R7's were hard to come by used. I had a ad in the local newspaper under garage sales. I could not believe it when I heard the guy was selling this gun. Pure luck! This guy used to shoot Feinwerkbru pistols and said he bought this about 20 years ago and only fired it a few time. He was selling his pistol, which he cared a lot more about for abut 5 to 6 hundred dollars.

And a Santa Rosa at that! Wow Dave. You have really gone in the opposite direction of where you started. That Rekord trigger is going to really get good to you.

"but I'll be needin' that gun, fer squirrels and such."

Bill, the ad in the paper is kin of fun. Like a box of chocolates "You never know what you are going to get". I do not want to buy any more guns for a while, unless it is some super deal. The only gun I kinda of want now is a old Ben Sheridan. We shall see.

Thanks Tim, I am still bleeding a little from this buy, and I just sent a check off to Rich in Mich for a shroud for my 850. mag.! I am almost hoping I do not get any more calls for airguns, but seem to get about one a day. Hold on the Ben and we shall see. I think you should just keep it though! Thanks for thinking of me.

Actually you should just wait and bring it down yourself. You and Harry,Warren,Bill etc. should all plan for a shooting reunion and get to meet the MZ man himself.

Good shooting

Congratulations on the new rifles, some of the finest sporters ever built. You're going to have a fine collection of shooters in no time at all with the luck you're having with that WTB ad. Wish you continued good luck, enjoy.
