That is one s-w-e-e-t lady...you will learn to LOVE the Rekord trigger...that should take about 2 shots!! Shoot it 200 times and most everything else will feel nasty.
Truly a beautiful piece my friend!! Keep it forever!!
From the moment I fired some of MZ's tuned guns and acquired a Vintage HW 30 from MZ, I knew I had to have a R7. Marcelo, kept telling me "old is Better, but finding a used one would be extremly difficult". Any way I had ran a ad in the local newspaper titled "CASH FOR AIR GUNS". BEEMANS, RWS, ETC". Well, that ad got me a Beeman C1! Now in the shop for a new tune kit. Well, I still wanted a R7 and placed another ad in the "Garage Sale section" of the newspaper. My second caller left a message saying he had a left handed Feinwerkbra pistol and a RWS 7 rifle he wanted to get rid. RWS 7? Well any way I called him and found out that this retired guy, use to shoot pistol matches with the Feinwerk and bought the R7 rifle but never really shot it. In fact, he said he had never even fired it outdoors. The gun looks brand new. The Beeman Peep sight looks like right out of the box,(that alone sells for about $60.00. When I saw the gun, I could not believe it. Can, you imagine that of all the guns in this city, I get a call for the one gun I wanted? And all for a $100.00!
Talk about luck!
Just yesterday I came across an R7 with scope, brake, mount and pellet sampler (from Straight Shooters) for $175. I immediatly inquired about said rifle and was told, "I just sold it." Dohhh. I hate when that happens.
You did very well on yours. Let us know how she shoots. Shouldn't have to tune that one.
"but I'll be needin' that gun, fer squirrels and such."
Bill, I have been blessed with beginnners luck. The R7 shoots nothing but Bulls eyes at 10 and 15 meters with the Beeman Peepsight that it came with. Beyond that I do not trust my eyes and an thinking about putting that Bushnell scope on the R7. What do you think? I also saw a starling out the window and nailed him at about 60 to 75 feet. I want Marcelo to shoot the gun and give me some advice about how well the gun shoots. One thing I did not like, was the owner took a cleaning pellet and shot it. I cringed when he did that. Like I said the gun looks brand new other than some very minor dings that you really have to look close to find. The Beeman C1, the MZ tuned Hw 30 vintage, and now the R7, all withing 2 months is really unbelievable. Not to discount that Marcelo lives close by and his company is priceless. My son is turning 8 in April, and these fine guns will be his to grow up with.I am not good with my hands and could never do a good tune. My son is, and maybe Marcelo can teach him a thing or two in the future.
Bill, thanks for all your encouragement and interest that you have given me.
