If someone here has a used but not shot and hit Crony you no longer use(maybe U bought an upgrade)I could sure use one.Now that I have learned how to take apart and rebuild a air gun it sure would be nice to see what differences the rebuild made.
The old telephone book method is getting old and I have used up all the books in my house(so I shut off the house phone cell only) as well as every friend I know who had a old/extra one. LOL.
Hey "Bob",Tim here. BUY a Chrony! (Just use it for good, not Evil)!!LOL! Chrony will read,,,750.4 f.p.s. 750,, (point 4 mind you!) Phone book just cant give you fps to the "tenths"! Besides, after some testing, its kinda hard to look up ph. #,s! A chrony is a great tool that tells you more than fps. Its so much more than that. Once you get one you will begin to understand just how usefull it is. It suprises me that so many airgunners are against them. I will never change my opinion on chronys, the best tool I have ever owned for airguns& "fire" guns! Just my 2 cents,Tim.
Hey Bob,Tim here. Just re read your post. So, you can disect airguns & want to see before & after results?? Just another good use for a chrony! The list is a mile long for the "good" uses of a chrony! (thats what Ive been trying to say). If you want to "test drive" one for free,E-Mail me. Mine is in perfect condition. I will ship it to you as soon as I hear from you. Seriously. It folds down & is very compact &light. (shipping will be cheap) Tim. P.S. thanks for joining at Kliffs site, great to have you there! timmyj1959@yahoo.com
I'll just wait until i either find a used one or buy a new one.
Thats very kind of you to offer the test drive on yours, not to many people left like you any more fer-sure!!

I hand fed him with an eyedroper(parrot food)
Now he's my house pet,and a good one at that!
Even comes when called
He goes by Coo-Coo !

Any & only one bidder. Mr Bob, I was thinking of selling my chrony. I want to upgrade to the new "kriptonite" model!LOL1 Mine is a pretty nice one,Pics. have been posted here of it. (never been hit) Its in perfect working order. $50 fair enough?? E- mail me .Tim. P.S. B.B. Gun Bob only. ( I need the money)!!
I had a pet dove at one time too. They become amazingly affectionate. Mine liked to sit on my shoulder and watch me shave in the morning. Then again at night as I sat in my recliner to watch TV. Then he would fluff out his feathers, snuggle up against the side of my neck and softly coo himself to sleep.
I had to give him away when my first wife would no longer tolerate what he did on her curtains. In hindsight it would have been better to have kept the dove and gotten rid of her. Unlike her the dove loved me unreservedly and spoke softly and gently to me. Tom
Mine does the same thing, gets up close to your cheek and hunkers down and puffs out his feathers and makes these faint little coo kook sounds as well as purrs like a cat.
That crazy bird loves water too! He gets in the shower with me and sits on a marble shelf to catch the over spray off my back.He gets so wet from the warm water he can not fly because he's to heavy.(has to dry out about a half hour)
He has never been caged but flys to his spot in the house where his seed & water is on a large table with paper underneath to do his business.Almost toilet trained.LOL
In the summer I take him outside with me,he'll fly up on the roof or maybe a tree,as long as he can see me he's OK with it.If I walk out of site he's right there on my sholder or head. He's never tryed to take off for some reason.Although I think his flight distance is limited by being in the house all his life.

I had forgotten the 'purring'! well heck----it's been 40-45 year.

Another thing I'd forgotten! Mine would try to get in the shower with me too and would get knocked down into the tub by the spray and get soaked. Finally had to exclude him from the bathroom when I showered to keep him from drowning

Don't recall that I ever tried that. But they're neat birds and I feel fortunate to have had the experience. We've had Doves nesting in a tree in our front yard ever since we've lived here in the middle of the woods on a high bluff above a river in N. Ark. They winter over here and we usually see them foraging in the yard during the winter but I didn't put out corn this winter for the deer, turkeys and other wildlife as I always have in the past so they have spent the winter near the corrals of a large ranching operation up the road @ a mile judging by what I see perched on the electrical wires along the road there. My wife told me she saw a pair in the front yard yesterday so it looks like things are on schedule since one of the Phoebes that nests under the barn roof every year flew closely past me, lit in a nearby wild cherry tree and flicked her tail at me to tell me she was home on the 15th.
I tried to respond by e-mail but it bounced. Tom @ Buzzard Bluff
