Here is what I have....

March 31 2008, 10:16 PM

Hi Tim,

I need to remember to thank Tom for the honorable mention!

I have never been able to find an exploded parts diagram or schematic for the 3100, but I have pulled enough break barrels apart in the last 15-20 years to feel very comfortable working without one...the 3100 is a simple little gun.

I have some diagrams which are really close....one is for a Cometa 300 and the other is for a RWS 92....both are cousins to the Crosman 3100.

Let me ask you this, are you trying to get a diagram so that you can tear the gun down?

You said, "...Need to know about the small spring and guide in the recap area..."

If you are talking about the small coil spring and the matching guide that pushes the safety button back into the "safe" position when the gun is cocked, I know that assembly like the back of my hand and will help all that I can.

I have some pics from a tear down on the 3100 that I did when I was at a buddy's house so show him the "guts" of the gun as he has one too, but the quality of the pics are just so-so.

Again, let me know what you are trying to accomplish and I will help, even if I have to tear my gun down and send you step by step pics...

Broken pin

Well, I don't know where to get parts for the 3100; I usually fabricate whatever I end up needing. What I can do is to pull that pin out of my gun and get specs for them, then I can see what I can come up with.

There MAY be pins that would be compatible with those of the 3100, or could be altered to be compatible without making any compromises; or perhaps I could make one for you.

Basic steel rod stock would not be my choice for the last option, but rather, a good, solid, high quality steel would be the hot ticket.

I don't know how close the tolerances were held to on the pins and their corresponding holes during the manufacturing process, so the original pin for YOUR gun would be the optimal template to use as a base reference to follow in fabricating a new part.

Let me know how this is progressing for you. I'm here to help all that I can for a fellow 3100 lover.
