-
I received Tims 460 early this week in mint condition.I tore it down that evening for a quick inspection and polished a few things while I was in there but nothing too technical yet.The stock on his 460 makes the one on 22cal look cheap. Finally after owning it for almost a week I finally got to fire it at some distance today.I got home from work and it was clouding up outside but not much wind.I quickly set up my bench and put a target on the 25yard backstop. After about eight shots I had it grouping Beeman Kodiak match pellets quite well.I wanted to shoot one very nice group to post with this but,The cold front is moving in and the wind started gusting. It,s suppose to start raining tonight and through the weekend.Maybe on saturday I,ll take it too the indoor range.
Anyhow,I want to Thank Tim one more time for this great rifle! I,m not sure if I,m going to go after awsome power with it or the smooth accurate road.My 460 in 22cal is still pushing out 14.3 CP,s at 875fps so I allready have the powerful one.It does have Magnum in it,s name though! Here are some pics.

Tim,s 460 at it,s new home.

Tim,s is the fourth one up from the bottom. The one with the golden grain in the stock. No wonder Warren named it the "Golden Gun" I call them my twins now because they both sport matching Bushnell Legend scopes and Beeman adjustable mounts.

John gets Tim's 460 and Tim gets a 350 (from John?). That worked out well! Congrats to both of you on your "new" guns! The stock on Tim's 460 definitely looks nicer than the other one.

I knew you 'd like the 350 Tim! It's just something about break barrels and the solid feel of the 350 that makes you want to grab it and never let go well, until your arms get tired anyway. Now you see why I 've been using it with open sights for so long and how it contributed to my hunting success this past season with 28 confirmed vermin kills.

After About 200 Rounds,

April 5 2008, 3:22 PM

Im still in love w/my new 350! Yesterday w/open sights I took care of 5 "bad turtles" (they are eating newly planted water lillys & newly stocked fish) I always sight in a new gun on paper, but, yesterday was the first time I have ever done so on turtle heads! Man those Crow Mags. smack the water! (or a turtle head!)LOL! Today I did something I have not done for some time,,I spent the day shooting!! Man I have forgotten how much fun that is! Needless to say,My new 350 & I now share a special bond that only few can understand. I scoped her today, modified the stop pin on an acurest mount to fit nearly perfectly into the shallow hole on the Diana rail,so far no movement. After a short time I had her "dialed in". As always POI. changed w/differant pells.,,But, I must say she seems to love to digest most all I fed her! Of course she seems to have a particular fondness for Kodiaks, go figure! (Im almost out of them!) Towards the end of my shooting session I decided to try an unlikely pell.,, I may get jumped on for this, but,I had to. We as adults know that high protien, vitamins, ect are the best diet for youngsters,CANDY IS BAD! I as a grandfather tend to spoil my grand children. I gave my new 350 some candy today to reward her for bringing me such great pleasure.Man she LOVES CPHP pells.!! I know they are too fast for her,& will "rot her teeth", But man did she LOVE them! A Quarter @ 20 yrds. stands no chance! Leaning against a post I was destroying cig. butts @ 15 yrds. as if my new love was trying to tell me somthing? Sorry about the long post guys,Im in LOVE!! Tim.

Good Job Tim! Must be something magical about that gun. She really likes to play the field. Seems a lot of guy banging on her door for a date lately.
Enjoy!

Tim,A update on your old 460.

April 5 2008, 9:17 PM

Finally got to play with it some more last night after work.No wind for once so I had to take advantage of it.Turns out she does,nt like Beeman Kodiaks as much as I thought she did. They gave me about a 3/4 inch group at twenty five yards.I tried CP heavies in her and at first they were,nt looking to great but after about twenty or thirty down the barrel she took to them pretty well.

After some trigger adjusting I felt more comfortable with her and tried fifty yards.By now a little breeze started to pick up and possibly caused the two flyers. These are unweighed and unsorted pellets so anythings possible.Either way I suppose it,s still a pretty good group.

I really planned on tearing her down again to see if I could get some more fps out of her but for now I think I,m pretty happy.
Tim let me know if you mounted the Center Point scope I sent along or some other optic.Good shooting Buddy!Poor little turtle heads!

I just thought of something

April 6 2008, 10:10 AM

This is probably the 1st time ever someone traded-in a 460 for a 350! This is something you don't hear too often.

I 'm glad both 'traders' are very happy.

460 trade for 350

April 6 2008, 11:30 AM

Yep Harry you are right! None the less,I am a happy camper! Im a break brl. kinda guy,& have wanted a 350 for some time. Besides, I knew I had to have one so I could be like you when, (if ever) I grow up!! Judging by Johns targets, I think the happyness is mutual!! Tim.
