open-sighted! Got last place but with a 32 out of 60 -it was a blast...I know at least ten of those misses were shooter error(rushing the shot/poor follow thru/fatigue) and bad weather...I could see how a scoped 48/52 would be a solid FT gun...Get your Diana and go FT! CarlM

slow down and explain;

what where the others shooting, meaning air gun types?

and, please what caliber?

at what distance, fixed or staggered targets?. indoors? what position? standing ? rested?

the 48 is a heavy air gun and lets itself to be rested easy, just let the air gun do it's job not a very sensitive air gun since the weight is on the shooters side

glad you like the 48 because it is a one of a kind, sidelever and ungorgiven to shot, the more you shot it the more you will understand the 48

warren

and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"

My 48 is 10 to 12 years old and has always been a

great open-sighted shooter-the FT shoot was outdoors at ranges approx 18-50 yards...some guys had real-deal FT rigs but they all shot very nice guns and were very nice themselves. My 54 is shooting a little above the 20ft lb mark. so I went with the 48 both are .22! Chris and both knocked down one of the FT's after the match at 80 -90 yards at least...actually he downed two-but I was out of pellets and needed to be getting on the road home!

Carl,Tim here! You also said: "power to spare",,"fixed barrell accuracy",,"low hold sensativity",,"Built Tractor Tough"!! You score a perfect 100%!! I agree with you! Under that you list: Diana 54 Air King! I knew I liked you for some reason!!LOL! Most know F.T. is mostly dominated (at upper levels) by pcp now. Seems to me there are a few old guys that can give the "dark side" guys a run for there money with a well tuned Diana 54 or TX 200?? The 48 is a fine gun my friend! For the record, I agree with everything you said about the 48. Good shooting Bud! Tim.

Maybe sometime you could do one of these matches...It would be fun--I'm hoping to host a match one day soon...wanted to for years...the RWS side-levers are great-which ones are you shooting?

FT shoot and put them on the yellow forum on Sunday-I was 'lucky' enough to be in two of them looking goofy as can be sitting in the mud with my 48 .22-it was a BLAST.
