Bought a new 24 TO5 and sent it to Ekmeister for tune and am totally amazed with his work... Smooth in every manner with a trigger as good as any. Yesterday I found a 24 Carbine in a local store in San Antonio. The stock on the carbine is much smaller than the rifle model and has the old style front sight. But, the barrel has a slight droop upwards and i can't get down on it to place a shot...It will go to Ekmeister also as ill guess someone has bent it up for a scope.
Wondering if this is a fairly rare rifle or not...$150 bought it... Thanks...
what was the turaround time from the date you sent the air gun to Ed K. to the time you received it and if you do not mind how much work was done, meaning a FULL tune or just some small adjustments
warren
and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"
Hey Robert, Tim Here! Sounds to me like your newest 24 is a lemmon. Being the kind hearted person I am, I would be glad to take it off your hands!LOL! Great to hear that you had a positive exp. with your tuner. Have heard from some of my friends not such positive reviews regarding their choices. Again, let me know if you ever want to part with your 24,I will buy it. Tim.
Looks like he did a tune with factory spring, sized seal, attached screw bracket, polished spring,
adjust inletting of forks, repair ckacked stock and tune trigger. I don't remember what he charged and it took about 4-5 months.. I live in Missouri in summer and San Antonio in winter so I held him up some... He has done all my rifles and I consider him very good at what he does. Hope to meet him in a week or so when I go to Houston to visit friends... And leave off this 24 carbine also. I had been lookin for something medium power real small to work with kids with and this one shot right through one of those winged critters yesterday....I have a winchester 423 that is a bit smaller and fairly powerful that I use a lot.. I use these airguns especially to train left eyed
kids to shoot left handed... Peace brothers....
