This thing is getting 3in. groops no not at 150 yds at 15yds (with any light wald cutter pellet or i gess any pellet for that matter) 6in. low with 10.5 gr. crosmans ( the ones with the bb in the end cant remimber the name ) i dont thenk this is natrale can some 1 send me in the right drection or buy it lol
The "BB tip" pellets are Gamo, not Crossman. I dont place much faith in them regarding accuracy. The R-9 is well known for many fine atributes, including accuracy. A little more going on here. Hang tight Buddy, you have come to the right place, many here can help you. Dont loose faith in the R-9 yet!! Tim..

Try some cps 7.9 if its a 177 cal or cps 14.3 if 22 cal
I dont have R9 but have RX2. Put on a new scope last night 10 shots
20cal size of a dime. Do you have a scope or open sights? Is the barrel
leaded up?Accuracy suffers badly due to caked grease residues blown into bore from the compression chamber and from leading. Most accuracy complaints are the results of a dirty bores even though they may look clean.

check and tighten the stock screws. They can throw off the POI by a lot if only 1 is loose. One time with my 350 after having shot 50-60 pellets in the same session, I noticed my groups started opening up. I thought it might have been some fatigue on my part but after after ~10 more shots it was shooting 1.25" to the left and every other shot was 1.25" to the right (@25yds). One of the forearm screws had come a little loose. It doesn't take much.
Thank gess i nead to start putting more info on my posts

Yep there are a few of us here. Have you been to the 850 forum that is dedicated to 850's only? This is more a Diana forum but we can talk about other guns if you want.
I 'll be getting the hammer spring mod done to my 850 soon. It should bring it up to around 650fps or 13.5 ft-lbs with 14.3 CP's or 14.6gr FTS.
If your scope is moving, it will definitely shoot all over the place. Make sure you are using a good mount with a stop pin and tighten it really well after you apply some Loctite Blue on the screws (clean/degrease the screws well first). Let it dry for a day or so after you reinstall the mount, before using the gun again. Most springers will cause your mount or scope to move. Loctite Blue works wonders to keep everything from moving.
This would be nearly impossible to do as most CO2 guns need a "cool off" period of at least 1 min. at room temperature (~72deg.) to stabalize the pressure and temperature inside the CO2 cylinder. You could probably do it if you were shooting targets at 25ft but I don't know about 8 shots in 10secs.
If you just keep shooting a CO2 gun one after the other, your power will keep dropping making it impossible to put every pellet in the same hole. I 've put 4 out of 8 in the same hole but the other 4 were less than 1/4" away at 20yds producing a nice clover leaf. However, I waited about 1.5-2min. between shots to get the temperature up in the CO2 cartridge.
I 've used the 850 for hunting too but prefer to keep it under 25yds with this gun.
