8 years ago I was Blessed with the $$ to buy my dream,, a Wood Mizer Portable Saw Mill! The nice Lady in the pic. with me is my Dear friend Charlotte. She was one of my first customers. Our familys since then have become one. The gentleman in the blue shirt is my "Buddy" "Willy".8 years ago at the young age of 71 he was spry as a cat, My Buddy Willy climed all over the roof of that Chapel! The two of us built it all by ourselves, NO store bought wood! Today has been tough on me,, I have lost a close friend I gotta go, Tim.

Speechless

May 10 2008, 8:26 PM

Hi Tim,

That is a beautiful little country chapel...makes me think of one close to my Great Aunt's old farm in Missouri.

It always grieves me deeply to hear that somebody has lost a close friend, as the "best ones" are almost impossible to come by....if we have just a few of them in an entire lifetime we are fortunate beyond comprehension!!!!

Sadly enough, there are no words in any language which can adequately express the feelings and emotions that such a loss leaves us holding in our hearts. There are even fewer words which can be drawn upon to comfort those who have suffered the loss, but let it suffice for me to extend to you your loved ones my most heartfelt sympathies...I am truly rendered speechless.

My only words of wisdom are few in number, but one thought that has helped me thought such times is to know that lingering sadness would most probably be disturbing to the person whom we have lost - rather, I think that they would like to know that we are remembering them as they were in the best of times that were shared in friendship & fellowship, and knowing that you are smiling while recounting old stories of the great and wonderful things that you did together; being remembered for the good things that we have done is how we live forever. The stairs of that little chapel look like a good place to be reflective as you remember the good times that you and your buddy shared together....and remember, when there (or anywhere) you can still share a smile with your friend!

With the utmost sincerity...your pal,

-Curtis

Tim;

we all live withing yesterday, today and tommorow and sweet, bad or so and so happens

the thing is you cannot control some of them and you might think something is bad to latter realize it wasn't like that

I try to remember the good things from yesterday, do the good things today so that tommorow I will reap those good deeds may that be with family and friends

warren

PS: remember the good always

and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"

In reality, doing things like what you and Willy did make lasting memories. It lays down positive proof of the goodness of persons.

Especially since, I am sure, neither of you did that expecting reward or recognition.

Every time you remember your friend, I am sure he will know it.

Three cheers to Willy! Who was man enough, and good person enough, to make solid friends while he was alive.

And you, my friend, cheer up thinking that he is in a better place; where planks never warp, always end up the right length, cuts always have the exact proper angle and nails always drive straight and through.

My Sincerest condolences.

Un Abrazo!

Héctor

Sorry for the loss

of your good friend and partner Tim! I am sure you have a lot of good memories building that chapel with Willie and throughout the years.
Our lives are short on this planet so we must make the most of it. Remembering old friends, parents and relatives that have passed and toasting to them once in a while is one of the things everyone should do so their memory lives on, especially to the younger generations.
I think a very important thing to remember is also to call that friend or buddy you haven't seen or spoken in a while and don't put it off. Ge together with them because you just never know when you 'll see them again. Having lost my dad last Fall, I can tell you I regreted not calling him or visiting as much as I wanted. I kept thinking I 'll call him tomorrow or go over this weekend and not doing it because other things came up. He passed away within a couple of days of getting sick the night before I flew out to see him.

You are also blessed to have the community honor you and formally recognize your contributions. Not many people experience this in their lifetime and once again reflects your good, caring and philonthropic character which I had known all along in the past few short months. God bless.
