Good job Tim!!

That is great....good job buddy!! Now here is part 2...when you make a swirl, overlap it with the next swirl by 50% so that the edge of the center-line of the second swirl is aligned with the center-line of the first swirl...then just keep going on and on. When you step up or move down to the next row of swirls, do the first one so that it overlaps the first on the first row, then continue like ya did on the first row...it will look like scales on a fish or snake.

Take a thin marker and a straight edge and draw a line on the metal and practice keeping the center of the circle on the line while overlapping each swirl by 50%. Soon you will be able to look at the metal part and see a pattern of swirls in your head and move them around in your head to adjust the looks of the pattern. Personally, I like a bit of randomness in the patterns so that people know that it was done by hand on not on a jig or with a template.

Ok RedFeather, I see the active IFRAME window that you have in your post...so tell me how you hacked into the webcam on my puter that is pointing at my face?? I want royalties for the distribution of my beautiful visage at the rate of .30 a view!!!!! -LOL-

I love the chimp - had to save him in my ani-pics folder!

-Curtis

Practice makes perfect. Was that your pillow btw? Just kidding

Are you keeping Curtis from working on my gun again? You 're lucky I don't have the 350 to shoot some intercontinental ballistic Kodiaks down your way BUT, I may have something else that will surprise everyone soon, even me.
Ok well here it is. I lost a bidding war on a .25cal Talon SS yesterday. I don't know what came over me. Probably because I don't have a gun that can bring down the groundhogs right now and I 'm looking at Jeff's posts on the GTA hunting forum one after the other with pics of groundhogs he gets with his Talon at 50yds. This gun I made 2 offers on, was a Talon SS with a fully shrouded 18.5" Lothar Walther barrel, high flow valve, spring hammer, etc. and was as quiet as an R7 with the power set @ 35fpe.

I know you offered me your 54 .22 and I appreciate that, I haven't forgotten. It may just be a phase I 'm going through and get over it, I don't know, we 'll see.. I always knew I was going to get a PCP gun. I just didn't know how soon. Also what revived my interest in PCP's was this new landscaper guy that I hired. He came over on Thursday to cut down some poison-ivy bushes that were getting out of hand and spreading, since I 'm highly allergic to that stuff and would not attempt it myself. After he was done he asked me if I were aware I had groundhogs because he saw all the groundhog holes in the back yard near the trees and poison ivy bushes. So the conversation led to airguns and shooting the g-hogs etc., and that's when he told me he has a big g-hog problem himself but uses his Condor .22 (I think he said it shoots >60fpe w/Kodiaks) to take them out at never less than 55-60yds. He was bragging how accurate his Condor is with the Lothar Walther barrel. He also said if I need to sight in my springers or any guns for long range, I can use his backyard any time I want and shoot targets up to about 85yds. This was an attractive offer since I can only safely shoot at targets 40yds out on my property. He lives only 2 blocks away(!) and has nothing but woods in the back of his house. I knew right away which house he was talking about because I always admired the privacy and deep woods behind that one house with what seems like about 1.5 acres of just grass all around it with a lake on one side and woods in the back 80+yds from the house. He said "yep, that's my house!". So anyway I know if I shoot his Condor which he invited me to do so, I 'll definitely want one or a Talon SS because it's more quiet. So far I have tried not to think about it and avoid giving him a call, but it's always in the back of my mind now and hard to get it out.. I think the 'force' has abandoned me and I 'm slowly being seduced by the "dark side". This of course doesn't change my feelings about the 350 or any break-barrel springer.. never! I 'm sure I 'll get tired of the 40min. drive to the scuba shop to get the tank refilled every few weeks. An average tank offers 30 fills at the most, and you only get about 25-30 "good" shots with every fill on a ~35-40fpe gun, so that's only 750-900 pellets on 1 scuba tank, say 800 average. About 4 tins of 200ct Kodiaks. Not a lot if you think about it, unless the Scuba or Paintball shop is around the corner, or you use 2 tanks (extra expense).

Sorry I 'm completely off topic but this is what's going on in my head right now.. decisions, decisions..

Nice jeweling job Tim! I know you 're jealous of my trigger metamorphosis by Curtis and don't blame you for wanting to do the same to yours
