Just picked one up as New Old Stock (NOS). Dated 07-84, made in West Germany, but no Diana markings. Stamped RWS Model 35 on the reciever, but no Diana marking's on the gun. Came in the original blue and white box with the original paper work. Looks to be a Diana, feels like a Diana, shoots like a Diana, is it a Diana?

Probably too much, but it is a brand new gun. Paid $235.00.

Why shouldn't it be a Diana?

Could be one of their guns originally made for export and subsequent rebadging? Don't know when HyScore quit importing them. May want to oil the seal as I think that one's leather.

of course it is

RWS was for a long while the sole importer of Diana guns after Doc Beeman blackballed Diana for not wanting to play his way. Most older RWS Diana guns intended for import to the US are marked only RWS and Made in West Germany.
