Ballistol!

June 9 2008, 6:58 PM

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I have to post again about "Ballistol" I love this product. I first learned about it one day at Marcelo Zapetero's shop. It is a coincidence that Tom Gaylord today just did a feature on this great product which is so environmentally safe that you could drink it. Great for lubing your gun, cleaning the bore, lubing the pellets, and the stock, plus a myriad of other uses. One poster mentioned it did not like the smell of the product, which is a sweet smell like candy. I guess he prefers inhaling petroleum based products. Anyway, here is Gaylords review oF the product.

WELL WORTH READING

You are so right

Dave. I keep forgetting to post how much I like using Ballistol. I got it in liquid and spray form about 5 months ago. It really does clean the bore well but I 'm not too fond of the smell either. That doesn't stop me from using it though.
I also run some over the barrel and all metal surfaces after each use, especially with a break barrel springer to get any oil or dirt from my hands off the metal after cocking it so many times. It really does clean well and lubricates at the same time! So far I don't have any complaints but I could probably do with a more pleasant smell. The odor "issue" could be subjective I guess. It may appeal to some but not others.

And to be on topic.. wow, it took 6 weeks for the package to arrive from Denmark? Maybe it got held up in customs? Those 9's do look like G's though

Dampa,

June 9 2008, 10:41 PM

Dear Tim, I am very happy with this ! The Dutch Post Services found out the package must be in the USA but they couldn't trace the reason why it took so long. I see on the picture that the envelope is very dirty, it was shining white when it left our home. Well: time to fit the Dampa and lubricate the rifle with products from "teh Old World". I am happy I can do something in exchange for all the info etc. given by you and the American Diana friends. ( will send you and Warren some Diana High Power's but let me know if you need .177 or .22 or both ? ) Best regards from Jan !!
