I haven't tried them BUT I think that pellets in the 15.5 to 19 grain range are the HOT ticket for magnum guns like the 48, 52, 54, 350 Mag, and the 460 Mag...other makes and models too, but those 5 guns in the Diana line love that weight range....perhaps the 19 grain would be better for the 350 & 460 as they have a bit more "bang" to throw the heavier lead.
For certain applications, I have always been a champion of the Beeman Kodiaks/H&N Barracudas/Diana High Power at 21.1 grain (they are actually closer to 21.6 grain)...but I honestly think that 16 - 18 grain is about perfect for .22 caliber.
Here are a list of my favorite high quality .22 caliber pellets in that weight range:
Beeman Crow Magnum ----------- 18.2 Grains - B.C.= 0.022
Our good friend and fellow Dianawerk Collective contributor has provided us with information concerning the new addition to the JSB line of pellets. He has indicated that they are a .22 caliber 18 grain version of the legendary JSB Exact Jumbos...the day that I find some in stock and available for purchase, I am going to bust the bank and buy as many as I can...I am highly confident, for never having shot them, that they will one of the best pellets available at any price point...I would suspect that the BC for these pellets would be in the range of 0.034 to 0.036...that is purely an assumption on my part so please don't quote me on that stat. until I can get my hands on some....
Hector already has some so perhaps he can do a little mathematical research and give a solid B.C. value for this 'sure-to-be" shining star of the .22 cal. world!
I am currently writing a post about tuning airgun pellets. I have always been in love with the Beeman Kodiaks/H&N Barracudas/Diana High Power due to their effectiveness for hunting and accuracy at 50+ yards when shot out of my magnum spring guns...this is attributable to their weight (21.1 grains as listed - but really closer to 21.6 grains per my digital scales) and their fantastic B.C. of 0.036 --- I have always wished that these pellets were available in a 18.5 to 19 grain format, but alas, the pellet gods have denied my requests year after year so I took it upon myself to take some of these FINE pellets and "tune" them to fit my needs....I have them down to 19.163 grains and they seem to perform just as well as they do at the stated 21.1 grains where accuracy is concerned. I have yet to shoot them through the Chrony, so when I finally get that done, I will finish my writing and submit my results with pictures and my method for tuning them!
Ok....coffee and smoke time...
