The tricky part will be to "check out the seals , maybe lube it up a bit" -- without pulling the spring. Necessary precursor. Sorry!

Start w/ the 34 if you are going to do it at all. Simpler gun. Here's a guide:

I don't vouch for the part where they are tapping out the two retaining pins w/o having secured the trigger unit with a spring compressor or some other type of restraint. Its not enormous pre-load, but you want to control the process.

Thanks a ton , that was extremely helpfull.

Im definately going to try it on the 34 first. It doest seem as complex once you see how its done , and where the important things are .

If anybody else has any info on the 460 breakdown , It would sure be pretty helpfull.

Thanks again

Just My Two Cents,,,,,

Even the simplest of "Back Yard" concoctions will make it safer,,use a spring Compressor!! And by all means,, start with the 34,, the 460 will have MUCH more pre-load on the spring. Be carefull,, have fun,,Tim.

That was some great advice guys , Thanks. I did take down my 34 on Sunday and I did take the spring out. I de greased it, wet sanded all the parts with rough edge's the inside and out side of the chamber, cleaned it again , and finaly regreased it with a moly.

The results were almost like firing a different gun. smooth as whip cream and the accuracy has also improved.

the spring and chamber were bone dry!!!!! Whats up with that???

I cant belive RWS let that go out the door like that, Thats very un-German like.

I have my suspicions that they werent assembled in The Rineland.

After seeing the results of the 34 , I have to try it on my 460. It actualy creaked and squeaked when I cock it . I bet there aint no lube in there either.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any thing tricky about the 460 breakdown I might find usefull. I hope the results are the same !

Thanks a ton guys for all the help.
