Does anyone know how the RWS 48 barrels are fashioned to the breach.Soldered ,pinned or threaded? Was wondering about rebarreling to .25 with a 16mm Wiehrauch blank or would it be better with a Walther choked barrel blank? Are the RWS barrels 16mm as well? Can't buy a good .25 here in Canada just the Turkish/Patriot copy + [Hatsan] junk.Could buy a HW80/.25 but they are only rated for 600 fps..........................Harold

Glued.

RWS use something similar to loctite, so You have to heat barrel to remove it

Probably the best way is to chop barrel to some 4 1/2" and ream it with the 1/2" (or little bigger) drill bit, heat from it should do the trick.

This the way we use here to remove old (1999 to 2004) unrifled barrels, before imstaling new/rifled ones.
