Dear friend: very nice and impressive, we like these "howitzers" here ! Best ammo for precision shooting is from Davide Pedersoli, here comes a new period in your life: making / melting your own bullets ! I am sure an inventor like you will find ways to make the best bullets, enjoy your rifle and next one is a BSA Lonestar in .25 I guess ? Best regards from Johannis.
It doesn't matter that its not a Diana....I LOVE IT

Well Tim, I gotta tell ya again, that is one fantastic looking gun, but coming from "J" we both knew that it would be!
I am feeling "the urge" .... LOL
I had a smoke down at the humidor tonight and then stepped in and was looking at walnut blanks that would make a good thumbhole stock for a dragon slayer, but then I got to thinking that a synthetic thumbhole might be the hot ticket....we'll see!
I was thinking about looking for a used model that needs some serious love and attention and taking her under my wing and giving her a total makeover....how do ya think I ended up with Steph!! ROTFLMAO (look around the room with a scared look!!) Just kidding sweetness!!! (hung & kisses - gulp)
Anyway partner, that is one fine looking piece of work!!!!!
Awesome rifle Tim,you traitor.lol I to must be a traitor aquired a Beeman San Rafale Webley Vulcan. Not near as nice as your rifle but with some tlc should look a lot better than now.Again great looking rifle Tim.

I hope no one shoots a hole in the bottom of the JohnBoat.
Its kinda of neat,, sit in the lilly pads and wait for them to catch some air, bam,, head shot they may go down for a few but sufrace soon belly up..Damn good eatin too!
Crocodile Dundee made a famous quote in one of his movies when comparing knives with a street thug. His quote "Now that is a knife"'
Congratulations, on a very nice piece! Need to keep up the post about this gun. I bet Harry, is shaking in his pants with envy of such a powerful, precision rifle as the Dragon. Poor guy is probably looking over his checking account now, and wishing he had saved some of those ground hogs he shot last week. LOL
..here's a question. I always thought that round balls were inherently inaccurate. Judging from Tims shooting this doesn't seem to be the case. Is it the poor quality of most bb's , or that most bb guns are lower end products?

Tim, thanks for posting about a non-RWS gun. A great way to learn about what is out there.
By the way, for anyone interested here is a video that shows the absolute power of this this fine gun.
ZVP, you have reason to be anxious for the HW 30. The 30 mk11 acquired and tuned by MZ, is one fun gun to shoot. And it is deadly accurate and smooth!
Let us know how you like it.
Where to start?? Dave (ZVP),,Thanks for your kind words. You & Russ have let me slide many times before with non Diana posts. Seems we all love many differant types of airguns!! Thanks!! Johannis my Friend from the Neatherlands,,, "Big Ponds" cannot seperate true Friends!! Thank you My Friend,, E-Mail sent to you!! Curtis: What can I say to you I did not say on the phone!!LOL!! IB McGinty: I just cannot explain why these 180 Gr. roundballs are so dam accurate!! If I was not the one shooting them,, I would NEVER believe it myself!! Im telling you,, a teaspoon at 30 yrds. dont stand a chance! My Buddy Dave (Vabch): Thanks for your replys,, Im still Laughing!! Yeah,, we both know Harry pretty well!! I spoke with him the other day,, got an E-Mail from him today,,seems he is not taking this laying down!! As a man of my word,, Im not saying anything!! (Hint: Harry is up to no good!!LOL!!)Thanks Dave for putting up that link for those that may not have seen Tom Gaylord shoot those 2 liter soda bottles!! Amazing what 190 Ft. Lbs. can do aint it?? Did I mention my new Dragon has been tuned by "Big Bore Bob" (Bob Dean) & further modded by J ?? Just a lil over 300 Ft. Lbs.!!LOL!! Dave,, Please say Hi to Marcello for me,, hope both your familys are doing well. Of course I must give the biggest thanks to "J" Woodcock,, Other than the trade we worked out I would not have this AWSOME new gun!! I doubt for shure I will ever top this one folks,, not many are lucky enough to own a one of a kind gun like I have now. To say I am happy & LOVE my new gun would be a huge understatement,,It DONT get any better than this Folks!! Thanks to all my Diana Werks Friends,,,, The Addiction continues!! Tim.
At 300+ FPE you must be hitting around 900 fps. Do you patch the roundballs? Is that a smoothbore?
You need to get a charcoal burner. I have a nice .54 double rifle that should sate your thirst for fpe. Let's see, with 230 RB's @ 1400 fpe she'll do about 1,000 fpe. Not to mention slugs.
Roundball {.495" 182 grain} is a bit over 720fps, and the big 460 grain slugs run right about 570fps.
The 335 grain REAL slugs are pushing about 640 fps and the 255 grain REAL are lobbing along about 670fps, but please don't let lower velocity mislead.
