Greetings all,
I bought a Crosman Challenger in 1982 and ran a couple thousand pellets through it in the 80's and put it away. The pin and ferrules(?) above the trigger holding the action to the stock have fallen out. They seem to have been press fit (no more). I'm planning on machining a threaded replacemnt. Is the connection to the stock supposed to be tight or free-floating side to side? The reason I ask is that the original can't have compressed the stock on the action.
Also, I understand that the Challenger is a Diana 45 in a modified 35 stock. Was there an advantage to this, or simply parts swapping to differentiate it in the marketplace?
Thanx, Martin |
