I had recently sent my 460 back to Umarex because it broke for the second time. I asked for a new 460 , or 350 with scope. As I was really disgusted with my 460.
I think I had a lemon and didnt want to keep sending it back .
I figured I rather take the loss then have to keep dealing with a headache rifle.and I didnt want to seel it and pass it off to someone as a good rifle.
Umarex opted to send me a new 350 w/scope . they sent me the new RWS lockdown single piece scope with droop compensator. and a cheap RWS scope.
I was happy with the gun and mounts but that scope was kinda crappy.
I havent use those mounts before , So I dont know what to expect. they look pretty solid.
So out of the box the 350 sounded like an old screendoor on a cottage,(but so did my 460)
BUT,it did shoot very well! and Im pretty happy with that!I dont forsee any problems with it at this point.
Granted its not broken in yet, But the 460 definately had more power.
Im guessing that it isnt much harder to break down than the 34, I dunno, but it seems quite similar.
how are the lockdown mounts on a 350?
On a side note , I had a blast with my cousins and nephews that came in for a wedding the other day . They really had a ball with them.
Hell, I might have to get one more rifle just so I can shoot too!
I got the RWS Lockdown mount with an RWS 3-9x40 nighthawk scope with my refurbished 460. I put the scope on my wife's Crosman 1760e as she was complaining of not enough magnification on the 6 power scope she had - big improvement. The Lockdown mount looked good and I could use it on basically any gun, but I elected to not try it until others had. I ended up using a Leapers scope with the new Leapers mount on my 460. It is solidly on there, but I seem to still have some consistency problems with the new setup. The Leapers 3-9x40 and the Leapers one piece mount with a shim under the mount worked fine on the 460 - probably shouldn't have changed for better long range accuracy!
