RWS 34 stock question

After 10+ years of use my model 34's stock has become a bit weathered and loose-fitting. I was wondering if I could use the newer Meisterschutze stock as a direct replacement without any modification. I really like the longer forearm and buttpad. Akso, I was thinking about getting the compact barrel with the muzzlebreak, would this be a simple swap job as well?

Thanks in advance

Yes and No

the stocks in the 34 are interchangeble, not the barrel's

the 34 Classic/premium, compact, professional, Panther Laminated, Professional, or Plastic stock will fit the standart 34 stock

the barrel lenght is another issue you go from 15.6 to 19.5 in inches with all the variations of the 34

the compact barrel is 15.6 and the standard 34 is 19.5 inches in barrel lenght

by contrast the 46 Stutzen is 14 inches in barrel lenght and it does not miss a beat, Go figure. fix barrel and a touch more accurate than the 34 with a smaller NOSE

PS: research Devin, do your homework, don't listen to me

and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"

Hey Devin,,

Not shure of stock interchangability. If you get another stock that works for Ya,, I would like to have a chance to re-work your old one. Let me know what Ya find out. If your old stock will mount to my late model Panther,, I will re-work/re-finish it for Ya. Now,,,,, If Warren will ever come off the stock that I repaired the crack for him,,,,, I will refinish it like I did for John in PA,s Webley stock???? Will make it shiny & Purdy like Johns Warren!!LOL!! Miss Ya Warren,, no ph. calls in about a month now?? Let me know Devin/Warren,, about time I returned a favor or 2 to my Diana Werks Friends for all they have done for me. Tim.

Well, I guess in effect, I was wanting to transform my old model 34 into a "Miesterschutze/Panther Pro Compact" depending if I decide to go synthetic or not. I realize the barrels are different lengths but are the compact barrels attached differently than my original 34 or is there another reason I'm not aware of which makes them incompatible?

Oh yea.... I'd be more than willing to send off my old stock if I go through with this project. =)
