On Monday afternoon I placed orders with Straight Shooters and Pyramyd Air on in stock items. My order from Straight Shooters will be delivered today and the order from Pyramyd has not shipped yet.

Two weeks ago I placed orders on the same day with the above two retailers along with Airguns Of Arizona. Straight Shooters delivered in three days, AOA delivered in 4. On the 5th day I was notified by Pyramyd that the item listed as in stock was actually out of stock and would not ship.

I can highly recommend Straight Shooters and Airguns Of Arizona but I would be reluctant to order from Pyramyd again unless they were the only store with the item I needed.

I am not bashing Pryamyd I am just sharing my experienc and giving a pat on the back to Straight Shooters and Airguns Of Arizona.

Placed an order on 29 Aug. paid extra $5 than realized it was after 12 their time. Figured it would ship on Sat. Called on Wed. hadn't rec'd shipping notice. Got the shipping notice while on the phone. Then they sent me an e-mail saying because of the holiday and missing the noon cut off sorry but I am out the $5. If they work on Sat. and Fedex works Sat. what's the problem.

Odd, I made my first Pyramyd order ever. I placed a buy 3 get 1 free tin pellet order on Sept. 5 which shipped the same day and will be arriving today via basic Fed Ex ground all the way over here in California.

PA and shipping...

September 11 2008, 2:30 PM

I had a similar experience with paying for faster shipping with pyramid air. I placed an order on Wed that left PA on Wed. On Friday it was in my town. It was not delivered until Monday. I called PA and they said their records show that Fed Ex does not deliver in my neighborhood on Saturday (baloney - we get fed ex deliveries all the time on Sat.) I called Fed Ex and they said it was two Business days...(ordered wed - Friday it should have been here.) Fed Ex said the shipper had to mark off saturday delivery on the shipping papers for them to deliver on Sat - for an extra $17ish. I was out $13 for two days that took 5 days total, 3+ business days from placement to reciept!!!! I really dont know who's problem it was other than mine - not getting stuff in a timely manner and out some $$$$.

Other than that, PA has always shipped quickly and accurately. Never had any problems with in stock/out of stock as others have reported. They've been friendly on the phone.....

Called on a part once, then again, and again and....

They listed some "left over stock" for RWS guns, one item of which was a sight base for a 75. I talked to a lady there who said the tech had to look it up. Think I got disconnected on hold and had to re-call complete with explaining what/where I was trying to buy. Now tech was out to lunch, literally, and he would have to look in "some boxes on the shelves" to find it. Finally, that afternoon, I re-reconnected only to be told it was probably not there (even though the website showed it). Next day it was deleted from the site. Was a rather long waste of time, not to mention getting all hepped up over finding a part that was eluding me for quite a while time. (Of course, this was nothing compared to actually talking to the folks at Umarex. Only took about three or four voice mails and a week.)

From what I've read here and on other forums, I would rather buy from another company if the price was close enough. Just too many negatives with PA.
