Just curious to see the lineage of their air guns. They homepage has little to nothing. Must be some pix of collections out there somewhere.

 Red,

It's terrible, I have written and asked them directly for info and pictures and they said they don't have any! It appears that no brochures, records or anything  about the Classics is available. Queries were made for such info to be used to identify airguns for the ongoing reserch for The Bluebook of Airguns, but the story is the same for Dr Beeman's requests.

You'd think that a retiring employee or even "the Family" would've saved somthing for postreiority but evidentlly nothing exhists! What a shame. I'm sure that somebody within Dianawerk would understand the collectors and/or owners of the Breed would want historical information, DUH!

This is exactlly why I started this place. Here at least there is a collection of info covering many  "Classic" models. Now soon as Network 54 resurrects our "search function" everyone can research  here for the  information on old models. Search will be started soon agin, don't worry!

Please, if you find any info that you think will help someone else, then record it here OK?

 Thanks,

 ZVP

I'll be happy to add anything I can find

One reason I bought the gun was the Diana legend. Kind of had to after seeing that.

I once had a Winchester Winder musket which needed some parts for the receiver sight, circa 1918. When I talked to the folks at Lyman, they didn't know what I was referring to. One of them eventually found a xeroxed copy of their centennial pamphlet which showed the sight. That was the full extent of their archival data. I commented on a rimfire forum at the time how sad it was a company as renowned in the world of iron sights as Lyman had no knowledge of their heritage. But, that's the way of the world. More and more disposable. Plus, as posters have pointed out here, a lot of European companies lost everything in WWII.
