Well I just received my RWS 34 in .22 cal hardwood and I really like it. I'm a little dissapointed with the plastic but it's really not that big a deal. I wish my Hammerli-x2 springer was as accurate. I can't wait to take it hunting tommorow before work and if I'm successful I'll post some pics.
I wouldn't worry about the plastic parts. They certainly haven't made a difference in the accuracy on my RWS rifles. Enjoy your new rifle and let us know how she shoots.
Glocks' have a lot of PLASTIC and they are fine handguns
there is nothing wrong with the plastic trigger, only problem is sideplay on "some" of them if this is the case shim with delring and problem solved. front sight can also be improved; take it out and put on a muzzle break and the a good scope PRESTO, FINITO to the plastic problem
the plastic trigger's are imperious to temperature which means they do not get hot or cold
make sure the action side screws and the ones that hold the trigger guard are locked down with Locktite and shoot the heck out of it
warren
and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"
