From what I've heard, both are good guns. The Diana may be a little easier to get parts for if you want to fine tune it or have a repair in the future. Have you seen the Diana? There are two model 45's, one old and the other new. The early guns are easily distinguished by a square trigger guard and a bolt through the stock just above it. The newer guns are simply a current model 34 but in a different stock. The 34 in .22 is an excellent choice. As to the Vulcan, those are nice guns, as well, being English built. Again, it would depend upon the price and condition. You should also shoot each to see which suits you best. That's always the definitive test.
