I want to change the rear sight on my 48 and wanted to know what yall thought about these that I was looking at. Anything that will just clamp or screw onto the gun will cause the least headache for me.

RWS Diana micrometer rear site - says it "fits RWS models 5, 5G, 6, 6G and 6M"....but from what I read about the 48 for a while before buying it I wonder if this is the site that a 48 is supposed to have with those "4 selectable notches"!

the beeman/williams

micrometer peep site will work well. i have it on my 52. i also went with a
globe front sight with changeable inserts.

i think the mendoza is going to sit too high. as for the diana if it has 11mm
dovetail it will probably fit your scope rail.

pyramid has the beeman/williams but they don't have the fromt globe. i got that from umarex. it is the whole front assembly it fits 48/52/54 and i think the 34. the two sights go well together. i use the thin front post with a little bead on top. combine that with the williams peep and you have a very
precise site picture. you could use hte williams peep with the standard 4/8 fornt post but i think the standard front post will not give you the precision.
i think a peep with front globe is the ultimate iron sight set up short of going with a diopter match sight.

the williams clamps nice and tight and i back mine up against the flat headed screw on the back of the rail. the adjustments are nice and you have that scale as well.

if you order the williams let us know and i will talk you through the installation. simple really but you have to know a couple of things before you start messing with the knobs.

Okay thanks. As soon as I get the money my 48 will be my first "peeper gun". I am under the impression that my gun is more accurate than I have been able to shoot it for the past ~700 shots and as long as I can stay away from glass than I will do all I can to ring out as many 1/4"s from my 30yd groups as I can and make my gun start putting meat on the table!

yes, but

they don't come with the attaching base which is extra and some of them require some drilling and tapping. the top one is the same as the beeman without the knobs and the attaching base.

the diana is 11mm dovetail and requires the attaching base which is on the beeman/williams sold at pyramid air.

glad to help

you will like the beeman/williams peep. when you get it you may want to put some molly on the screws that move the sight up and down and back and forth. mine was kind of rough and binding till i did that.
