Nope, the Bolt head stripped when I tried to remove it, the gun is just fine..... Btw, the bolt is the one in front of the triggerguard that attaches the action to the stock.
I actually came to post the same thing right now...The same screw on my model 34 is stripped pretty bad as well...It's lasted for 10 years or so of torque which isn't so bad. I'm thinking of cutting a deep notch in it for a flat-blade screw driver until I can get a replacement.
I always change slotted and phillips screws on my modern guns to screws with allen heads.
The reason is that I know that I'll be tinkering with my guns often enough and these type of screws make life easier and look better too.
One word of advice if I may, they can torque up to high figures and strip the female thread if one is not careful, so be careful not to damage the threads in this way.
