I mean shot your Chrony. I just did with a Disco in .22. Split/bent the metal case seam in the rear pretty darn good. I guess I was lucky it did not destroy the rear eye but did get a good piece of the top plastic housing blown off. The good news is the chrony still works fine. They do make them pretty good. Oh yea, the Disco is shooting CP 14.3gr at 870fps.
See ya!
Clipped the rear once and it bent the sheet metal out a good bit. It was with the Walther Falcon Hunter .22 and I am lucky only about half the pellet tapped the top edge.
Then something hit the upper front, right on the upper corner where the metal folds over. Nasty little pock, but still no damage to the electronics. Guess I will have to keep trying.
I was going to make a sloped plexi front shield before I strike again.
velocity from what I have read on other forums. 870 is the high but I get about 15 shots between 870 and 850 and about 15 between 850 and 820.
Have a great weekend all!
I had to fix a couple of holes in the ceiling of in my air gun repair room. And shot a hole through my old garage door with a .22 Chinese B3-2 break barrel.
After I put a Crosman Quest spring in it.The sear would not hold but I didn't know that until I cocked it and loaded it up for a test shoot out the small door. While walking toward the little door boom the damn thing goes off and I didn't even touch the trigger.Needless to say back to the drawing board.Major sear work and a little off the spring cured it.The funny thing is I did not gain a thing,LMAO but at least I tried.
The rear sheet metal is bent back real pretty and I even removed a little plastic off the rear glass. My best so far was to have two cleaning wads stuck in the barrel of my Pro Sport. I did,nt want to dry fire it so I put a pellet in the breech and fired it in to my back stop. In my haste I did,nt bother to move the chrony out of the way first. I aimed through it but the pellet came out so slow that it hit the display screen and put a dent in the plastic cover. It still works fine I just have to look through the dent to read the numbers. I,m glad that was,nt my 460 mag or my Disco.
