I was going to put this on the lower bedding thread but it is slightly different to me as the 48/52 has a different screw system. I have decided to change to piston for hunter FT, we have a 48 that shoots exactly 20fpe (dead flat!) and on a really good day will group all pellets touching at 70 yards.
It will require a proper stock for FT, we do have a bedded B51 and it goups better in that stock than the factory unit.
The 48/52 may go into a stock like this:
our stock maker can inlet anything perfectly period, but I was thinking the fact that glass just doen not swell/move/shrink/change contact area "might" be a good idea for this rifle and canging weather conditios? Also I could add an aditional stock attaching screw, now I read the 3 screw 4 screw more screw and things get worse not better but as they are all pulling straight down what do you think about bedding the 48/52?
TIA
John
