is interesting. I noticed while ordering some .22 Copperheads that the country of origin is the United States. Now I was not surprised by this but when I looked at the country of origin for the Premiers, it is China. Also, the country of origin for the .177 Copperheads was also China. I was surprised by that. Premiers are now made in China? Lord help us! I guess that the .22 Copperheads will also soon be made in China and this may be the last batch of US made pellets. Maybe I will order more while I can.
Shoot safe!

On the Premiers, were these in a tin or the brown cardboard box? 1250 count.
There are some great pellets if you don't mind cleaning them, for sale at Archer airguns. These are also Chinese pellets but they're very uniform albeit dirty looking. Not oily like the old Premiers in the carboard boxes were, but oxidized.
I bought some of the domes from Archer and they were accurate pellets. As good as other domes in the rifles that preferred domes like the JSB pellets.
Good that you posted this. You reminded me that these are ultra cheap and uniform meaning accuracy is going to be consistant. Also of note is these pellets are a hair over eight grains. A great weight for springers.
If I remember right, these worked best in tighter bores but I can't recall for certain. I also used to shoot a Chinese pellet you can't find anymore. It cam in clear plastic tins with green labels. Possibly the best pellets for the price I've ever seen. I would have sworn they were the JSB's before there was such a thing as JSB pellets. Bought them en masse every time I could and now they're pretty much unobtainium.

in the tins, not the box. I believe the boxed Premiers are called "Field Target" where as the tins are Premier Hollow Point, Premier Ultra Magnums, etc. etc.. I wonder if the Field Target is now prduced in China as well. |

Let's hope they don't go to China. That will mean practically new pellets with different dies since a move like that almost always makes for slight product changes in tolerances and alloys. Since the Crosman's in the tins shoot so well in many guns (from pretty good to very nicely), it's going to affect a host of air gunners.
