Has anybody tried one of the new Air Venturi Pro-Guides in a Model 34 .22 yet? Anybody got any chrony numbers on it? I'm gonna get one and try it in a Model 34 and a Model 48. But I wanted some real info on it first. I read the reviews at PA. But I'd rather hear from someone here.
Thanks,
Rob

Air Ventury

Rob:

John in PA is working in my M48 and it shoot's 790 with stock spring and 14.3 gr. CPs

Guess what? with the Air ventury kit from Pyramyd it shoots 840 fps and do not ask me where the spring was made in the original Air Ventury kit or where it comes from

he is still trying the Air Ventury with a John Knibbs and a HW80 spring but it looks promising, 860 fps is max power with that kit and a combination of spring in the Air Ventury and the John Knibbs TITAN spring

it seems the John Kibbs, TITAN spring is a solid one on the 48, granted with a HASH recoil in the firing cycle but still 860 fps is gravy, if you can hit at what you aim

bottom line is that if you weight down the 48 with muzzel weight, bipod, mount and scope and bring it to 10 pounds, it will absorb that recoil

Warren

PS: call or e-mail John to find out

I don't know, it has reverse guides than usual tunekits..
Óver the spring at the back, ín at front. That probably means it can néver be 100% tight at the back cause the spring must be allowed to expand..
I'd stick with the usual tuners.

Reverse guides?

December 5 2008, 5:31 PM

they are Delring guides at the front and back, enclosed. so the spring will compress inside those plastic tubes

need to explain 790 fps stock spring in the 48 or 840 with the Venturi kit or maybe 860 fps with the John Knibbs "Titan" spring

you will get a HARSH recoil after you shoot 800 fps but what the heck, you get 800+ with either spring combination

ACCURATE? no promises just 800+ fps is promised

warren

PS: never promised accuary, just absolute POWER

and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"
