Question on RWS 25 markings...

I've had this little gem for about 2 years now. It is a RWS stamped Diana 25 in .177 caliber.
The guns does not say Diana anywhere on it and is also missing the classic huntress on the receiver.
On the left side it is stamped "made in Germany" followed by the birth date 12/80.
The tube is marked "RWS model 25".
OK, so I know it's a Diana, that's obvious. My other guns from this era are either marked Diana or Hyscore respectively.
I know RWS was an importer, not a manufacturer.
So why is this one marked RWS and not Diana?

For those not familiar this model shoots a tame 525 with cp's. Mine is not the "s" version, so it is lacking the adjustable 3 ball trigger made famous by the Diana 27.
The direct sear trigger is fine and really adds to the elegant simplicity of this junior sized rifle.
It looks like a 70's/80's Diana 27 with the red "pimple on the butt, just much smaller.
It is the top gun in the crappy pic below:

Apparently, some guns may have been produced for rebadging such as the ones Winchester imported until their name. In that case, the Diana logo would have been omitted. Your 25 might be one intended for such a market.

That's "under" their name.
