Hi:
I´m thinking in buying a Leapers 5th Gen 3-9x40 AO Mil-Dot Scope for my Diana 54.
Is this scope ok for the recoil of the DIana?, or is better to search another scope?
Thanks in advance
I have a Leapers Accushot on my 52 and it does a great job. Rifle is tuned, but no dampa under it.
Also had it on my spanish 48 (18Ftp), no dampa, untuned, no problems.
The 5th generation Leapers brand of scopes are great for the 54. They have the reticle cut into the glass, so you can't break it. I've had the Leaper's 5th Gen. 4x16x56mm AO swat scope on my 54, with the Leapers droop compensator mount and the low Weaver 30mm rings for over 3000 shots now and it has held up like a tank wit absolutely no problems.
Leapers has a newer 3-9 one with (what I consider) to be better features (of course it costs more as it is newer....). Anyhow 3-9x44, sidewheel AO focus, and the manually adjustable/lockable windage and elevation turrets. It is also 30 mm for better lighting. (i.e. it has all the features of the Leapers big boys). It comes with Leapers Weaver rings, but I'm not happy about using the dovetail tightening screws as the scope stop (rounds off the Leapers rails), so I get B-Square Interlock rings when I put scopes on the Leapers Droop rails.
