Whether it would be imported again. Here is what they said:
Dear Sir,
thank you for your interest in our products.
Please be informed that DIANA mod. 28 has been discontinued in the meantime.
Nevertheless, we have a follower = DIANA mod. 280

Please contact our importer UMAREX about this new DIANA air rifle.

good luck with Diana in Germany

Jeff:

I just got out of the phone with Glenn from UMAREX and Diana will not listen to anyone. Glenn ordered the M48 in .25 cal. months ago and Umarex has yet to receive them

Umarex is trying to place the .25 cal. in the USA market and they have selected the M48 as the entry level air gun for that cal. but Diana in Germany has not shipped them

I think the 48 is more than capable to spit out the .25 cal withing an acceptable fps (600ish) is my guess

and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"

Diana 26/28

February 5 2009, 3:10 PM

The Diana 26/28 series originally had the same cylinder diameter, and mainspring as the Model 27.
They had the same modified 3 ball trigger as the 24D which used the Diana 25 mainspring.
The 24 T01 & T02 used the same small cylinder diameter and the Model 25 mainspring but had different triggers.
There appears to have been no T01 or T02 version of the 26/28 series.
The T03 and T04 of the 26/28 versions used the current larger diameter cylinder and the same trigger as the T02 Model 24.
I do not know if they produced a T05 version of the 26/28 series.
Note: the T01, T02, T03, T04, T05 numbers refer to various versions of recent Diana rifles.
They are not trigger specific.
To refer to a trigger as a T0? without noting the rifle Model# is incorrect terminology.

TO#'s

February 5 2009, 7:03 PM

As far as I can tell from research, the incremental numbers indicate an improvement to the trigger. So, an improved TO1 would be a TO2, etc. Why the jump from TO1 to TO5 I don't know. Maybe they made five changes to the next generation trigger. The old three ball triggers are quite nice.

Too bad folks here are discovering the 28 about three-four weeks late. Someone posted one for sale here and had, initially, what looked like a slow start to their sale, maybe because it was an unfamiliar model and a near-mint demo. The buyer got a VERY good deal.

Diana Trigger

February 5 2009, 7:36 PM

Diana T0? variants are not due solely to trigger modifications.
The Diana 24 T02, T03 and T04 have the same trigger.
A T02 trigger is a T04 trigger.
The T02 has the same barrel as the 24D and T01.
The 24D has a different cylinder from the T01 & T02 which are identical.
The T03 and T04 have a different barrel, cocking lever, cylinder, piston, spring guide, etc.
A T02 piston etc. is not a T04 piston etc. even though they have the same trigger.

Well, that clears things up

I think..... Anyway, I guess the main thing is to know what's the most desirable (consensus) trigger for your particular gun.
