heres my chrony numbers :

using :

Crosman wadcutters in 7.9 Gr..avg - 572 fps...

RWS 7 Gr hobby pellets...avg 606 fps...

I havent did the numbers yet, but im thinking the RWS 7Gr, offer more fpe since im getting 34 more fps out of them..this should also help acheive slighlty farther distance kills...

The RWS hobby pellets are VERY NICE...they are uniform...have nice skirts..and a clean look to them....and they fit inside the barrel very nicely...for the price, they are the best pellet Ive seen so far...

HIGHLY RECOMEEND !

P5 Magnum Numbers

February 26 2009, 1:49 PM

Those numbers sound pretty typical of others'
I've seen posted. If my calculations are
correct, it looks like the 7.9 Gr pellet comes in
at 5.74 fpe and the 7.0 Gr pellet comes in at
5.71. Pretty much a wash. It does say that the
5G is pretty consistent for energy output with
these pellets.

There is a discussion on the Yellow about fpe,
velocity and Momentum which makes interesting
reading.

30-50 fps MV less than those...

February 27 2009, 6:51 AM

figures is what you 'll find if you look at many posts at various
airgun forums. Same with the HW45/P1 pistol in .177.

After a few hundred to several hundred shots your pistol will
most likely settle down to 30-50 fps MV less. Right now it's
running a bit rich on fuel.

At that power level an accurate in your pistol domed or pointed
pellet would be better for short range light duty pest control
than faster feather weight wadcutters with their extra low BCs.
