well i recieved my 460 today from umerax. they did not charge me for shipping.i mounted my burris scope on it.the reciept says new breech seal and main sring installed.the breech seal appears to be differt coler than the old one.gun cocks shoots smooth.there use to be a delay at 33 yds in the sound stricking the target now it almost instant when fired.i dont know what that means on a crony but it has to be faster.i fired about 125 rounds and the last 10 shot group at 48 yds was 9 pellets in a 1 in group and 1 flyer outside for a 2 in group.at 33 yds the last 2 10 shot groups had most pellets under 1 inch with a couple of flyers for about a 1.25 group.these are honest mesured yards not guess work.the only pellet i shot today was c.p. .there was gust of wind and lots of wiggle in the crosshair.i would say the flers was my fault.also i checked the cocking arm. it appears to follow the sliding breech and lock up the best i could tell like it should.this almost dont even act like the same gun .well i got to go maybe shoot some more.

460 smiles

Sounds like they got it, now shootin' em' up!

My spare breech seals from Umarex are blue in color. They start out light blue and rapidly become darkend and smashed in; but that's good. Blackened/fried, etc is what you don't want.

PS when you are comparing group sizes to what most people say, 5 shots is pretty much the norm. IMHO the shooters ability is tested more than the guns in getting good 10 shot groups.

460 seal

If you wanted to keep a spare seal you could send of to the UK and get a seal from T R ROBB look at his web site.
I am using one of his heavy duty 52 seals that he says he always fits to the side-leavers because they dont splay out and distort, they look like they are made of p.t.f.e and they shape themselves in use, since fitting one I have had no problem with leaks and I feel confident in there long life. Just a suggestion.
Barry.
