My local gun shop is giving a very interesting price on a 350 classic compact with the plain long stock.
Is the 15.5ins barrel OK for the 350?
Any info appreciated.
Barry.

Springer minimum barrel length

Is a little over 11". Anything longer gives you a chance to flinch before the pellet exits the barrel. That barrel is still 2" longer than a TX200's, you should be fine.

Anything less is less efficient; I didn't mean to imply that it wouldn't still shoot fine (e.g. Air Arms Pro Sport)

Hi Barry, I have a 350 Pro Compact

May 11 2009, 6:36 PM

Mine is .22cal. It is quite consistent with the AOA FT lead. Right now I have it in my 350M classic stock and it handles excellent. I put the .177 action in the Pro Compact stock and I like it better also, long like the Fauerkraft, only a tad shorter. The original setup is a killer rig and I personaly would recommend it. But I must admit, they have taken a little getting used to. I really enjoy the magnum series personaly. The Pro Compact has a sweet spot that it needs for accuracy bein such a beast., and a sling would be in order for any extended trips to the woods. Hope this helps.

I have been looking at the big choice in the 350 range its not going to be easy.

Tom dose the compact have a plastic foresight? it looks like the standard 350 has the same hooded metal sight like the old ones.

No Sir, mine has quite a handful of muzzle break

No sights an the Compact, I believe the Fauerkraft series has the fiber optic and the Classic has the irons. The barrel on the Compact is similar to the 48 style without the break on, but their is no mount for the rear sight so it is scope only for the factory setup.
