Called up Umarex yesterday looking for a 34 Carbine.... none available and a carbine barrel for a 34 runs maybe $145... I as we were talking he said he had a Shutze in .177, which was ordered. The last time I called Umarex looking for a demo/refurb 34 Carbine I ended up ordering two 34 Panthers.

Now he did say that he had these available: a 300, 46, 5G so if anyone is interested in these closeouts/demo/refurbs give Umarex a call...

Thank for the info

Sco, the may be interesting info for some of the guys on this forum. The Diana 300 would be an interesting gun. A underlever right? I don't know much about this gun. Was it a 460 prototype? I see where the last msrp was about $550. I believe they stope making this gun. This might really be a smart buy for someone.

FYI - Info on the 300r

May 16 2009, 11:51 AM

Re the 300r - it is a 46 in 460 clothing (i.e. the 460 stock came from the 300r). It has a 7 round magazine. Shoots great. The only issue is I need to be careful to return the cocking handle slowly to its locked position as a (fragile) little plunger comes out and pushes the next pellet in the barrel. So if you do it too harshly and the plunger breaks because something wasn't working right, its a $42 dollar replacement part (ask me how I know!). They are suppored to shoot a little less fps than a 46, but mine has always been a little more than my 46's.

Tune

Does anyone know what type of seal this rifle uses? Small Apex or Large? Spring diameter, length?

I haven't received the rifle yet but am planning on a small lube/polishing/deburring job and if it's anything like my 34's it will need to be deburred and a knicked seal replaced...

300r, 34, 46 All the same internals

They all use the Large Apex piston and the GRT spring kit if you are talking Maccari; otherwise, it is the same RWS spring, guide, and piston seal.

I have no idea

I have a 460. I have no idea where this gun's heritage came from. When I bought it, it cost a small fortune. I have noticed that prices on the used models keep dropping all the time.I don't even think JM even carries a kit for it any more. I had mine detuned and it is a good shooter. That said, I wish I had spent that much money for a TX, or HW.
