I'm intrigued by the new Diana 56 TH. Did anyone get up close to one at the SHOT show this year? Is it just a 54 with a new trigger group and thumbhole stock? Why hasn't there been any buzz about this rifle?!

Will it have the T06 trigger? Is Diana switch to the T06 for all the guns in their line?

I have contacted Diana twice about that rifle because I intend to buy the stock and re-fit it on my 54. They told me that this wouldn't be any problem since The 56 TH actually IS a 54 with a different stock.
It will also be shipped with the new T06.
I then asked them if it would be possible switching from my T05 over to a T06.
They told me it could be done but then I would have to get a new piston, too.

Noricus have you got that right about the TO6? I understood that you had to change the piston only on the TO1 as the rod is shorter,
If I am wrong that means that there will be three different types of pistons for the same basic gun.

maybe that creates some intereting tuning possibilities. different strokes.

When Matt got his TO6 for his 54 it came with a piston, but I dont think he used the new piston as he has a buttoned piston.

er... I think I have made a mistake.
They actually did NOT say that the new 56TH is being equipped with the T06.
It was me asking them if it would be possible changing my T05 for a T06 on my 54.
They told me it could be done but I would have to buy another piston for that one.

T06 isn't a drop in replacement for T05? I thought you only needed to change piston if you had T01 due to different lock up. Not sure I'd want to change piston just to get a different trigger. Unless the T06 is that good.
