My .177 34 liked CP's and Kodiaks. What do the .22's seem to like best? I know, every guns different...just trying to get some ideas.

I started with FTS's and stopped. With a JM spring I'm getting 677 fps, 10 fps spread and 3 SD. Good numbers from un weighed pellets. Can cover 5 with a quarter at 20 meters using a peep.

What's the firing behavior like with that spring? Is it smoother than stock?

I don't know. I lube/tuned and replaced the spring and added a couple of washers as bearings right out of the box. I never fired it stock but it is very smooth.

680 FPS max and 660 low with a tune from John in PA and 14.3 CP's with an original 19.3" barrel and a JM kit installed

it has a JM spring (set) and a brass top hat and rear guide from Rayburn11

another one of my M34 with the same configuration is between 700-705 FPS BUT with a 16" carabine barrel and

my 94 with 16" barrel is high 740 - low 720 fps with the original 94 coils (38)

and to add fuel to the fire, I have the RWS 34 copy from China the B25, It shoots 650 FPS but with a JM spring and the transfer port reduced from .150 to .120, easy to cock and easy to shoot, it has some work done by MM and Howie 1

then I have another M34 that shoots ???? FPS but that is another story

PS: you get 660 to 740 FPS with the 34 depending on the internals



and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"
