I have the same butt pad on my new QB 57. It is way too hard and not any where near the quality of the Morgan which is on my 34. I will be buying a Morgan to replace the original that came with the 57. The one you are referring to is a hard plastic. The Morgan is a Rubber compound that feels much more comfortable when you shoulder the gun. Well worth the difference in my opinion.

By the way, as I mentioned above, sales go to support this guy's forum, which he has really done a very good job of contributing his skills. That said, you may find the Pad less expensive elsewhere. Here is a close up of the Pad from Cabellas.
