Will pick up my new .22 caliber Panther at the local UPS office tomorrow. It's actually a demo/refurb I ordered from Umarex. I was wondering if I should open it up and lube it before I start shooting it. I am going to put a JM kit in it later, but don't know if there's any point in taking it apart and lubing it right away. I don't know exactly what Umarex does to these guns before they're put up for sale.

Get the kit.

Keith, I would get the kit in as soon as possible. After tuning my 34 it was the world of difference. I have it from good sources that the Panther is of better quality control than the other 34's. I don't know why.
By the way nice Crosman. Is that a neighbor friendly shroud? where did you get it? I have a 850 with a Rich from Mich shroud that is so quiet no one even in the same room can barely hear a thing.

Congrats on your Panther. I love my 34, but if I had it to do all over again I would have chosen the Panther!

Sincerly

That's a TKO Stage V and the gun also has a HDD installed. Extremely quiet right now with a 14.6" barrel. Going to put a 24" on it soon and that should make it even quieter.
