Carlos I like the way you did it -

looks solid and fairly quick to take down/reassemble or reattach. Did the carbine
get a slight power boost from the switch to o-ring piston seal?

Warren the rifle is .22 i shortened a cometa barrel to 10 inches long and change the original .177 the air passage in the cometa 220 is the same size for both calibers for assembly /dissasembly you just need to unscreew the bolt in the uper side of the handgrip(visible in the second photo)and pull the buttstock and then take off the barrel

Larry yep the o-ring is Buna nitrilo

Airbethere the gun was cronied before the o-ring mod to 198 m/s and after the mod 210 m/s but this is not all due to the o-ring because i shortened the piston too and incresed the swep volume

Carlos:

lots' of work but here is what is SUPER interesting; to MEEEEEE

"Airbethere the gun was cronied before the o-ring mod to 198 m/s and after the mod 210 m/s but this is not all due to the o-ring because i shortened the piston too and incresed the swep volume"

besides:

"Larry yep the o-ring is Buna nitrilo"

Carlos: increasing the sweep volume has been a mystery for me and people try to get it with a pre-load or other means

I have to contact you for this idea, stay prepared and THANKS, absolutely great idea

warren

and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"

Nice looking takedown feature. Too bad they don't offer something like this from the factory. Any details about the takedown mechanism available?

I like takedowns and own a couple of .22 pumps

Had a Remington 241 (like the little Browning semi-auto) and Remington was kind enough to send me a facsimile of a salesman's "talking guide". In it he extols the takedown feature, saying you could even put it in your suitcase when going on a trip, to do some plinking while there. Try that these days!
