I recently bought a .22 Diana Model 48/52 made in December '95. It is in very good condition and hasn't been altered to the best of my knowledge. The safety is a flat metal peice of spring steel with a little loop on the end. All the pictures of current model 48's show the same plastic safety as I have on my model 34.
The trigger blade is plastic and appears to be a T05 trigger also like my 34.
Were early 48/52's made with this safety or were all RWS guns of this vintage made with metal safeties?
One more thing , there is also a red dot on the plastic end cap the safety goes through.
yep, 2 screws. So T01 it is then. still seems to be set fairly well. I haven't messed with it at all (yet). Guess I will go surf around and see it I can find a manual telling me exacty what the two screws do befor I fool with them.
Hey, it just stared with my curiosity about the safety. I dindn't consider a t01 at the time. seemed like a good thread to ask afollow on quiestion but I have already did a little research and found my own answers.
and No I don't trust safeties, But what else would you call it. I have been practicing gun safety for 34 years. The only real safety is the one between your ears.
If you are talking about something which blocks the trigger

then it IS a safety and you are comfortably among millions of gun owners who use this nomenclature. BTW, 2e're not all brutish (although some here are British).
