Since the 470 TH is a ways out, and from what I understand, outrageously expensive, there has to be an alternative.
I was curious who in this crowd of tuning gurus has come up with a way to replace the crappy plastic factory-issued front sight and cocking-barrel locking piece with something similar to what the new 470TH has coming out. I have contacted two tuners that said it couldn't be done. Is this REALLY true?

If you could get the part NO. of the 470 one it might be able to be ordered, GINB do custom parts, have a look at these Diana bits.
I have now got use to the plastic bits on my 460 and dont mind them but I know what you mean.
Barry.
Re: Thanks, have you (or anyone else) dealt with them B4?

I have not personally, but they are thought to be one of the best for custom parts and stocks.I have heard they have a dedicated team working for them, top quality stuff.
Try some research, perhaps someone hear has used them.
I would like some parts from them myself but I bought a new laptop yesterday, so my toys will have to wait for a while.
Barry.
Rich in Mich used to have metal muzzle brakes/lever holders for Gamo CFX's to replace the plastic one. Maybe what they meant is it isn't profitable for them.
Here's the basic gist of what I got back from them on this:
>> Further note Sir that barrel and system mod. 460 / 470 are one unit and because this fact only the barrel could not be changed.
What a load of crap to be honest! I've been a die-hard RWS fan for a couple of decades now and this is a joke that it can't be removed. I simply don't buy it, why else would there be an allen-screw on the front sight? There has to be a way for it to be removed, they don't manufacture them that way!
