shooting FT. in fact i had not shot airguns or any kind firearm for 40 years.
i started my first match with a diana 52 with peep sights. that first match was a 4/44. i promised myself that i would not scope my rifle till i did at
lease 30% with iron sights. eventually i did. yesterday i shot a match in which i scored a 31/40 shooting a TX 200 with hawke sidewinder 30 8x32 sr 12 scope. i was second place and was beaten by the 2007 california state champion by 4 hits.

during the match i only had 4 misses going into the last three lanes. i then proceeded to blow several easy shots that droped me to 9 misses. on the last lane which was the offhand lane i managed to clean it. overall i am happy with the result. a personal best is always counted as a "win".

Having shot my first ever FT matches this summer,I feel your pain!!LOL The season is over here in Mi. But I will return next year and hope to do much better.
I'm surprised you hit anything with a peep sight, those critters are out there quite a ways, and usually the kill zone and target is so shot up its hard to distinguish the kill zone from the target.

Again Nice Shooting!!
