not really

October 12 2009, 3:35 PM

16" barrel and 14" of air chamber plus wood stock of 12" in between means a 42 to 44 lenght air rifle

warren

PS: does it exist in 900 fps with 15 gr. pellets???

900 fps Chris not 1,000

your howitzer does not count

and I am still waiting for your phone call

warren

PS: I think the M350 with a 16" barrel (carbine) and your work will fit the bill perfectly for a 900 fps air rifle

and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"

Warren what about a S/H 460 and send it to Chris, the barrel is a bit longer but its a fixed barrel and even I could get 840 fps with AA field 15.9 so 60 fps more should be no problem for Chris.

Nice, BUT

October 13 2009, 10:04 AM

Barry:

the problem is a M350 is about $350.00 and the M460 is $550

the difference is $200.00 and not only that but the Mods' for the 350 are far superior to the 460

spend $350 on the M350 plus $200.00 = $550.00 or

$550.00 on the M460 plus $200.00 = $750.00

warren

PS: I love the math part

and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"

I wasn't sure if you might pick up a cheap S/H one and see what Chris could do with a fixed barrel with the same swept volume as the 350, I for one would be interested as the 460 will do up to 24 ft/lbs without Chris going to work on it, anyway just a idea.

the same sweep volume BUT a fixed barrel makes a BIG difference, OK maybe 5% gain in accuracy from the 350 to the 460

I hope Chris stay's away on this one

the 460 holds' the same volume of air in the tube as the 350 BUT the 460 is a fixed barrel

but the 460 is close to $600.00 and the 350 is in the $350.00 ballpark

same fps in both, not in accuracy and not in price
