Wow! Just recieved a new Diana 54 Air King in .22cal about all you can say of these fine guns is ... wow, I never knew what a recoiless action felt like. I have only sent but a hundred or so thru it so far and .. um.. wow is about all I can say at the moment. It is definately going to be a superior hunter, it likes the AOA ft's the best so far, the Crosman pointers are excellent also, which I would love to see some in 15.5 - 16.5 gr.. The good folks at AOA chronied it with jsb 14.3 799 800 798 799 795 800 795 798, seems pretty consistent to me so far, at 20 ft.lbs. Im hooked! and I look forward to any and all experiences with my new set up. I have a nice Bushnell Trophy and one pc mount but I'm having a blast with the irons for now. I'll chunk 500 or so thru it and maybe see what the scope set up will bring, woo hoo. One smooth shooter.

Warren, yes that is very consistent, I like that, hopefully Mr. Medina has some good news soon on that fancy scope mount he spoke of and possibly more info on those heavy duty pistons. I certainly would entertain the idea of "Hectorizing" this fine piece.
Parallax, I ran out of premiers, but like you say,not many guns don't like them, my Beeman can chunk them thru a squirrel @ 35 yds. I can't wait to get some more in, can't get them local so I order them via online.
Noricus, I have already fallen for this fine shooter, I've never had the oppurtunity to try the jumbo express but they will definitely be on my next order, thanx.
David, yes it is a keeper, I hope i haven't wore it out already haha, and I imagine it will outlast me by a longshot. 15 yrs you say? I hope I last that long haha, thanks for the responses guys y'all are the best and I will keep you posted.

They are incredible rifles Tom. Give the 14.3g Crosman Premeire's a try. They seem to be a favorite in most 54's. They shoot the most accurately by far in my 54 and give me 840-850 fps average, for 23 fpe and shoot MOA groups. They also have an extremely high BC so you shoot flatter to much farther ranges.
I have tried many brands with my 54 (it has .22 also) amd found the JSB Jumbo Express most suitable.
For distances up to 50 Meters the RWS Meisterkugeln did a nice job, too.
You've found yourself an amazing rifle you will madly fall in love with.
You could not have done better.
Take your time to discover its excellent shooting characteristics.
I can assure you they get even better over time. Allow me to say that when you come to mount the scope, get the best mounts you can for it. It is a recoiling airgun.
I've had mine for close to 15 years now, trouble free and its a keeper.
Enjoy.
