I have started inletting the stock as you will see I have 2 stocks I am making since their is some set ups such as routeing out groves and barrel groves while I have the router set up I can make the same cuts on a 2nd stock. You will notice that I keep ny stock blank in a square form this is so I can clamp it to a fence to wirk eayser also It allowes me to clamp it to the factory stock so I can transfer the cuts I need to make from the original stock I have also made the extension table on my table saw into a table router this gives me a a(rip fence ) guide for cutting groves. See the picturies.
Is there anyway you can bolt a third one to the other two for inletting. I've wanted a 22cal Stutzen forever and this would turn my tuned 48 into a beautiful Stutzen. You did a awsome job on my B40 stock and its my one of a kind rifle. Thanks, John
I've wanted a 48 for a long time, and I hate seeing them pass by on the classifieds for great prices. But, now I need a 48 just for the custom Howie stock.
With Howie and Tim turning these pieces out, it's a great time to be an air gun shooter.
Dear Howie, looks very impressive and I see a traditional style of craftmanship ! This is unbeatable and 50 years of experience / knowledge is clear ! I like a darker satin finish on this stock when it's finished, I am ver y curious to the end result. Best regards from "Jan" and a lot of succes with this project what's never done before !
P.S I look every day on this superb forum to see if there has something changed in the Stutzen stock !
