Network Marketing/MLM Opportunities
These are opportunities offered by companies that charge an investment to get involved. Once involved you promote their products and get recruits to create a "down line" or sales force. The more recruits you have the more you get paid.
What Should You Know About Network Marketing/MLM?
When you do your research answer the following questions.
1. Does the company offer products you would use yourself?
Many companies offer products like special vitamins or magical weight loss secrets for example. Selling such products will work for you if you are comfortable with telling people that they are fat or unhealthy.
2. Has the company been successful for two or more years?
You must check this out to make sure it is not going to close down in the next few months. Most new network marketing companies fail in the first two years.
3. Is the company mostly concerned with recruiting and less focused on promoting their products?

A few rich guys at the top bank out and you lose all your investment. Now think about that. Is that really going to generate a lot of money for you? For the people on top it most likely does . So, let's say the recruiting never dries up. Which company is going generate more money for you. One with many solid products and recruiting or one with just recruiting?
4. In network marketing you are going to have to communicate with people. It is very difficult to sell network marketing only on the internet. If you are uncomfortable with selling, network marketing may not be for you. The only way network marketing is going to work for you is if you find a company that offers excellent training and support.

Pros:
· Most come with a complete replicating web page. No struggling with effective web design of giving all your money away to web page designers.
· Fun if you like communicating with people.
· Generate a long lasting residual income.
· Can generate thousands of dollars per month, if it is a good company and you have worked at it for number of years.
Cons:
· Good companies may charge a large initial investment to get started.
· Lot's of bad companies out there.
· If product shipping and inventory cost are involved you may lose all your profits quickly.

Many sites offer free services and free helpful information. They either get paid by selling people's names and/or letting other companies advertise on their web pages. I have separated this into three basic parts:
1. Offer discussion boards or chat rooms.- This is pretty self explanatory, create a place where people want to come to.
Pros:
· Lead generation tool to build your customer base.
· You can create a place that can interest you as well.
· Learn how to make money on the internet.
Cons:
· This will not generate a lot of money, unless you can generate a lot of traffic.
2. Create an E-Zine.- This is where you can publish expertise. You create a weekly or monthly newsletter about anything that people would want to know. Then in the letter you have the opportunity to promote products, services, affiliate programs, or what ever fits. Use your creativity. If your E-Zine has enough subscribers you can get advertisers to pay you.
Pros:
· A good way to earn some money part time. You get express your opinion, help people, and you get paid for it.
· Excellent low cost lead generation tool.
Cons:
· It is going to take some time before you can build a list that will generate you money.
3. Offer free internet service.- Examples are a free website visitor tracker, mp3s, or any great idea you come up with.
Pros:
You don't have to pay a whole lot on advertising. If you offer a good free service you will generate a large customer base through word of mouth.
Cons: Can be difficult to get started and it is hard to come up with an original idea.
