Forums do work but I don't think they are the
quickest way to establish your credibility. It's
a matter of how many people see your posts. Posting
on busy forums works well but you won't get a lot
of eyeballs on your posting if the forum is not
very busy.
A faster way to get know is through articles and
writing your own book/product.
