Submiting to Search Engines is never wrong but to reach the front pages it's NOT enough.
Go for the big ones, don't buy $30 packages for submit to 1000+ small search engines that's NOT effective.

a Search Engine Position Analyzer
You'll need to find the TOP Pay-Per-Click Engines
Check the Top Directories
